*June 2*

Tomorrow will take care of itself.

One of the best things this journey teaches us is that we only need to deal with today.

That’s it.

Not tomorrow, not next week—just today.

And know that, no matter what life throws your way, it’s never more than you can handle.

When you fully embrace these two simple truths, your whole outlook begins to shift.

A lot of us used to spend so much time worrying about things that hadn’t even happened, and it never really crossed our minds that we could just focus on today.

At first, focusing only on the present might feel strange, even a little unsettling.

After all, if we’re not constantly planning or worrying, how will things ever fall into place?

But when you start to surrender, something begins to realign.

Life feels lighter, calmer, more manageable—just by staying grounded in the here and now.

And letting go of the “what-ifs” doesn’t mean you stop caring. It simply means you start living.

You feel awake.

Alive.

And that’s a pretty incredible gift.

Today’s Affirmation:

These twenty-four hours are all we have— for now. Whatever my Higher Power gives me today will be right for my journey.

A Life of My Own

A Life Of My Own

Today’s thought of the day is inspired by A Life of My Own by Karen Casey,— a small but powerful book full of daily reflections, meditations, and prayers, offering practical spiritual guidance for living a clean, sober, and more grounded life.

Karen Casey is also the author of Each Day a New Beginning. With over 20 years of experience speaking on spirituality, relationships, and personal growth, she has dedicated her life to helping others. Her own recovery journey began more than 30 years ago in Twelve-Step groups, and she’s deeply passionate about supporting others on the same path.
