*June 15*
Unconditional love means total acceptance, free of all judgment.
Sometimes our judgments of other people are loud and obvious.
Other times, they’re sneaky—quiet little thoughts we barely notice.
The loud ones are easier to catch. When we spot them, we can remind ourselves, “This isn’t love,” and make the conscious choice to let them go.
The subtle ones? Those are trickier. But letting go, even a little at a time, is something we can practice.
Every time we interact with someone, we’re given a chance to love them without judgment, to see them for who they are, not who we think they should be.
And here’s the truth: the way we judge others usually mirrors how we’re feeling about ourselves.
When we’re grounded and feeling good in our own skin, we tend to be more accepting of others too.
So when judgment starts creeping in, the best thing we can do is pause and turn inward. That’s where peace lives.
That’s where we can reconnect with something higher—call it God, spirit, or your inner guide, and remember: we’re all doing the best we can.

Today’s Affirmation:
My judgment of others is a barometer of how close I am to my Higher Power today. Prayer will help me love others and myself.

Today’s thought of the day is inspired by A Life of My Own by Karen Casey,— a small but powerful book full of daily reflections, meditations, and prayers, offering practical spiritual guidance for living a clean, sober, and more grounded life.
Karen Casey is also the author of Each Day a New Beginning. With over 20 years of experience speaking on spirituality, relationships, and personal growth, she has dedicated her life to helping others. Her own recovery journey began more than 30 years ago in Twelve-Step groups, and she’s deeply passionate about supporting others on the same path.
