*April 30*
We do not have to handle our problems alone.
We used to think we had to do it all ourselves.
Of course, this made us feel strong, capable—like we had it all under control. But maybe all that control was just a way to avoid facing what was really going on inside.
Maybe trying to fix everyone else’s messes was easier than looking at our own.
The thing is, asking for help doesn’t mean we’re weak.
It means we’re growing up, getting real, and realizing we don’t have to carry everything alone.
Talking our situations through with someone else usually works out way better than spiraling in our own heads.
And when we open up, we make space for something bigger—whether it’s love, clarity, or even a little divine help can often step in and guide us.
We don’t have to go through life solo anymore.
When we lean on friends, mentors, or a higher power, we find a different kind of strength—one that’s real and lasting.
And this time, we’ll actually know where it comes from.

Today’s Affirmation:
I will feel strong and capable today if I am willing to listen to others and God when I have a problem to solve.

Today’s thought of the day is inspired by A Life of My Own by Karen Casey,— a small but powerful book full of daily reflections, meditations, and prayers, offering practical spiritual guidance for living a clean, sober, and more grounded life.
Karen Casey is also the author of Each Day a New Beginning. With over 20 years of experience speaking on spirituality, relationships, and personal growth, she has dedicated her life to helping others. Her own recovery journey began more than 30 years ago in Twelve-Step groups, and she’s deeply passionate about supporting others on the same path.
